Touro University Teams With KDS to Provide an Online Masters in Curriculum and Instruction With an Emphasis in Differentiated Instruction
First Such Specialization Offered Via Convenient Online Video-Based Delivery Platform
NEW YORK, September 4, 2007 — Touro University announced today that it will be offering a new Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Differentiated Instruction. This program will be delivered online in partnership with KDS, an award-winning provider of online, video-based educational courses. This innovative graduate program has been approved by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
This Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Differentiated Instruction will focus on presenting research-based, innovative strategies and techniques that will best address the needs of a diverse student population. This 36-credit degree program is attained through twelve unique courses that address such issues as: cultural factors influencing schools and classrooms, effective management of learning environments, innovative approaches to assessment, and collaboration with parents, educators, English language learners and community members.
