Motivating Underachievers Using Response to Intervention and Differentiated Instruction

Presented by Carolyn Coil

How do you inspire 'unmotivated' kids? In this course, you will be part of an engaging workshop from Carolyn Coil. Exploring underachiever patterns and prototypes, illustrated through student profiles drawn from Carolyn's real life experiences, you will learn to identify the underachievers in your classroom, including the gifted students and those identified for special education. Along the way, you will be exposed to nine specific student learning preferences. Using a combination of both differentiated instruction and the Response to Intervenion (RTI) system, you will learn to help your students achieve success through employing targeted intervention strategies, with the key being to monitor progress. Upon completion of this course, you will feel prepared with differentiation strategies and interventions you can use in the classroom immediately.
