As education moves into the digital age, PMSA is taking necessary steps to progress with technological advancements. Our Online Leadership Professional Development Academy offers online solutions for your professional development requirements.


ACT 48 Approved Professional Development


Course Length: 10 Contact Hours (self-paced)
Credits Earned: 10 Act 48 Hours (each)
Cost: $50, no materials fee
Timeframe: On-demand, 24/7 access over a 2-month period per course
About KDS Courses: Pennsylvania Act 48 Courses consist of 5 topics, each including an online video-based lecture, pre- and post-assessment questions, and optional discussion board participation. (Printable study guides and resources included.)

Other Applications: Ask your district for prior approval to utilize courses towards:
                   * In-Service Credits towards salary upgrades
                   * Other professional development, recertification or license renewal

  • STEPS TO COMPLETE THE GRADUATE COURSEWORK
    STEP 1: Request prior approval from your school for the courses to ensure acceptability in your district
    STEP 2: Select from any of the available courses
    STEP 3:  Choose the course you want to take and click "PURCHASE"
    STEP 4:  Register and pay for the course using a credit card, check, or purchase order. (Note: For a PO or check, you will be given full access upon KDS's receipt of payment.)
    STEP 5:  As soon as you have successfully paid for the course, you will receive an email with your login information
    STEP 6:  Once you log in to the classroom, you will have to complete a series of 8 video lectures along with corresponding pre- and post-assessments, and a classroom-based project.
    STEP 7:  You will have on-demand access to complete this course at your own pace over the course of 2 months.
    STEP 8:  Once you have completed the course, print out all certificates of completion for each of the 8 topics (you may also choose to print these as you complete them).
    STEP 9:  If you would like graduate credit for the courses, please contact KDS by emailing support@kdsi.org.            STEP 10:
