Mississippi College Has Approved KDS to Provide Eight Additional Professional Development Courses to Mississippi Educators
NEW YORK, September 11, 2007 — Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS), an innovative provider of online professional development courses for K-12 educators, announced today that the Office of Continuing Education at Mississippi College has approved KDS to offer eight new online professional development courses to teachers. KDS now offers Mississippi educators a total of twelve video-based online courses featuring some of the nation's most prominent educators, including Carol Ann Tomlinson, Jay McTighe and Susan Winebrenner.
Each 10-hour course provides one Continuing Education Unit (CEU) towards the state of Mississippi's 10 CEU Requirement. The newly approved courses cover such pertinent topics as: Building Effective Rubrics and Assessments, Teaching Students from Poverty, and Developing Student Skills for High-Stakes Testing.

Mississippi CEU Courses consist of 5 topics. Each includes an online video-based lecture, pre and post-assessment questions, as well as optional discussion board participation. Printable study guides and course materials are included in the course cost of only $40.
