KDS Approved by Rhode Island Department of Education to Provide Eleven Additional Online Courses for Professional Development Credits
NEW YORK, November 20, 2007 — Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS), an innovative provider of online professional development courses for K-12 educators, announced today that the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDOE) has approved KDS to offer eleven additional online courses for teachers to earn contact hours towards their state license recertification.
Each 15-hour course will earn teachers 1 Professional Development Credit towards recertification at a cost of only $50 per course. KDS's online video- based courses are given by some of the nation's most prominent educators featuring Carol Ann Tomlinson, Jay McTighe and Susan Winebrenner. Newly- approved courses include such relevant topics as Strategies for English Language Learners, Students with Learning Disabilities, Anger Management & Violence Prevention and Coaching and Mentoring.
