NEW YORK, December 17, 2007 — Touro University Nevada announced today that it will be offering the Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Differentiated Instruction through a new modality. The program will be delivered in partnership with Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS), an award-winning provider of video-based online educational courses.
The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Differentiated Instruction will focus on presenting research-based, innovative strategies and techniques that will best address the needs of a diverse student population. This 36-credit degree program is attained through twelve unique courses that address such issues as: cultural factors influencing schools and classrooms, effective management of learning environments, innovative approaches to assessment, and collaboration with parents, educators, English language learners and community members.
Students will access their course lectures using the KDS Virtual Classroom, a full-featured platform that facilitates 24/7 web-based learning with video and live chat capabilities, enabling interaction with their Touro University Nevada instructors. In addition, students will participate in face-to-face sessions with their instructors, either in person or via video- based webcasts. This innovative format will create a learning environment that parallels the typical face-to-face classroom.
Educators Nevada-wide holding at least a bachelor's degree are eligible and are encouraged to apply for financial aid through Touro University Nevada.
