Strategic Management

KDS is spearheading the Strategic Management of Professional Development through alignment of professional development to competencies and the tracking and measurement of the needs and impact of professional development in the district and by individual teacher. The use of customizable observation and appraisal tools assist evaluators in collecting evidence of practice, analyzing data, and making decisions that lead to instructional improvement. Using KDS online professional development tools, district leaders, coaches, and trainers are able to:

Align professional learning to district priorities and initiatives
Aggregate multiple measures of data including self-assessments, observations, portfolio artifacts,
and summative evaluations, which are linked to national standards and frameworks in order to create a personalized
professional development plan
